Early involvement is the process of relying on suppliers early, physically or virtually, to provide support during strategic planning, demand and supply planning, continuous improvement projects, project planning, and when developing new products and technologies.  Special emphasis in given to identifying the practices that separate those companies that excel at involving their suppliers early and those that are merely average.  This module:

  • Explores the concept of early involvement, including defining the term
  • Quantifies the benefits of early involvement
