This module builds on the accounting concepts developed in the module Understanding Financial Statements for Competitive Advantage. At the conclusion of this module, participants will be able to:

  • Understand basic financial statement analysis using financial metrics (ratios) to understand the growth, profitability, business activity, financial leverage, financial liquidity of the firm, and comparative stock market performance

  • Evaluate the relative strength of a supplier, customer, competitor, or their own company

  • Discuss concepts such as ROI (Return on Investment) and “normalized” income

  • Organize an entity’s financial performance using DuPont Analysis
